I had not seen a specialist for my feet in some years. I live a few blocks from Dr Oexemans office on North Ave in LP and figured it, based on the feedback here, was worth checking it out. I just had my initial appointment on February 19 for what turned out to be mostly a common ailment, Plantar Fasciitis. Like many of us who live in the city, I don't drive or own a vehicle in my household so my feet are my most important source of transportation! When they break down, it is like a suburbanite's car breaking down. The entire staff was a pleasure to work with from checking in at reception, to the medical assistants and of course most notably the Doctor herself. Dr Oexeman truly comes across as concerned for her patients well being and comfort and actually takes the time to not only listen but offer full explanations as to what is going on medically and how to treat the problem. I never felt pressured or rushed. During the injection that I received I even got to watch the ultrasound, and she took the time to explain what was going on. Although like many I am no fan of needles, it did help to get me through the procedure. This morning, next day after this visit, I was walking to the brown line train on my way to work and for the first in years had little noticeable pain in my feet. My only regret is not having found this wonderful practice sooner - especially since it was literally right outside my door. But even if you don't live close by - at least in this patient's opinion, it is worth the journey. Your feet - and as a result your entire body - will thank you!
